Brooklyn residents have an unprecedented opportunity to participate in a nationwide cancer prevention research study that has the potential to protect future generations from getting cancer this May 2013.  The American Cancer Society’s Research Department is recruiting a diverse group of 300,000 men and women across the US and Puerto Rico for this study, called CPS-3.  CPS-3 will help us better understand the genetic, behaviorial, environmental, and lifestyle factors that cause or revent cancer.

Who Can Enroll? Men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 who have never been diagnosed with cancer (not including basal or squamous cell skin cancer) and willing to make a long-term commitment to the CPS-3 Study, which involves completing periodic follow-up surveys at home.

Step 2: Attend ONE of the enrollment sessions below. Only takes 25 minutes! At enrollment you will sign a consent form, complete a brief survey, provide a waist circumference measurement, and give a small blood sample.
